Cutting Edge has placed more D-1 players than any other training center in the Bay Area

Leann Emery has been a part of the softball community since finishing her Division I playing years at San Jose State in 1991. She has instructed players at all levels.  Working with many pitchers for years developing them physically and mentally for high levels of competition.   Leann has produced 3 All-State Pitchers: Tori Nyberg: (Former Northwestern Pitching Coach 2004-2010) and Jerrica Castagano (2004) Pitcher for Santa Clara University, Alex Pingree (2011).

Leann has had pitchers receive scholarships to Texas A&M, Stanford, Michigan State, Santa Clara, Penn State, Brown, Ball State, Hawaii Hilo and recent signed pitcher Alex Pingree to Univ. of Santa Barbara (2012).

Cutting Edge instructor Steve Hill, has also been a part of the softball community for many years. Steve is know as one of the top hitting and defensive instructors in the South Bay. Steve's players have received scholarships to Penn State, Princton, UOP, Villa Nova, Cal Poly, Univ. of San Diego and San Francisco State.

                                           *First Team All-State Pitcher Honors,

                                           *2 All-State Records 35 wins (E.R.A. of 0.22) and 108 Consective Shutout Innings

                                           *2 Consective CCS Championships,

                                           *MVP of San Mateo League 1999

                                           *CCS Co-Player of the Year 1999.

Tori then went on to be an Asst. Pitching Coach at Northwestern University (2004-2010). In two short years her pitchers lead them to championship 2006 College World Series Game.   The first time that Northwestern Cats had made it to the Series in over 25 years.

  *Jerrica led Carlmont to 3 league championships, two CCS DII crowns and 1 CCS DI Title

           *Currently, Jerrica holds the record for SO ( 657) in the history of the Carlmont Softball Program

           *Jerrica's E.R.A. are also the lowest in softball program; 2002 (0.07) 2003 (0.37), 2004 (0.19)
