Sonoma State University 

  Amanda is one of newest instructors at CES.  In her short time at CES, she has been giving lessons as well as running 6    week basic softball class for the Los Gatos Rec League.  Amanda and the girls had a great time, learning basic fundamentals that  are esssential to playing the game.  We are very excited to have Amanda working with CES.  She has a fun personality with the  girls and really works her students to move them forward. 

HIGH SCHOOL/COLLEGE: 

First Team All-League all four years of high school...San Jose Mercury News Honorable Mention...at San Jose City College, she received All-American Academic recognition and was named to the All Northern-California team and First Team All-League.Then transferred to Sonoma State where I was a two year 2nd team all-conference recipient and also was NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete. Started at 1st base both years. Broke a single-game record for the school by hitting in seven RBI's against Pace.

JUNIOR (2014): 

Appeared in all 61 games for Sonoma State and started 59 of them...was second team all-conference in the CCAA...broke a single-game record by knocking in seven rbi's in a 10-1 victory over Pace University on 3/19/14. Four of the seven rbi's came on a walk-off grand slam to invoke the eight-run mercy rule...hit .331 while collecting the third-most hits on the team with 57...had the third-most home runs with 5....tied for second in rbi's with 34...also had a stellar season at first base committing three errors in 342 chances for a .991 fielding pct.

PERSONAL: 

Choose Sonoma State because of class size and softball program...she wants to be a criminal defense lawyer or paralegal after college...she would most like to meet Oprah Winfrey...her brother, Nick Rosetta, is her biggest influence...her favorite sports teams are the San Francisco Giants and San Jose Sharks...her favorite movie is Crash...her favorite TV show is Scandal...she has a superstition of never stepping on the foul lines.
