Helen Pena

Hitting, Defensive and Pitching Skills Instructor!

Helen is currently the First Assistant Coach at Menlo College in Menlo, CA. As a Collegiate Athlete, Helen played 4 years at Division I, Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo - 2011. She earned All-Conference honors in 2008, and was named Second Team All-Conference in 2009. Helen was also part of the two Big West Championships - 2007 & 2009.

Helen began her coaching career as a Student Assistant for Cal Poly in 2011, before moving into a Volunteer Assistant Coach position for the 2012 season. She then moved to Cal State Bakersfield as a First Assistant Coach, before coming to the Bay Area.

Helen has been providing instruction in hitting and pitching for several years. Since graduating from Cal Poly, Helen has been responsible for the hitters, as well as the pitchers, on her college teams. She is very confident in her ability to analyze the swing, and teaching the CES style of hitting - linear to rotational.

As a collegiate coach, Helen is invested in inspiring our CES students to become better ball players, as well as students of the game. By teaching our students proper mechanics and work ethic, she will help to create the athletes she looks for at the collegiate level. As a Division III Collegiate Coach, there are NO restrictions for her working with our high school level students.

Bonus:  As a former pitcher, Helen will be throwing strong workouts to our CES students; challenging them to become better hitters at the plate. With her ability to instruct and pitch, she will move our CES players to the next level, mentally and physically. CES is very excited to have Helen as part of our hitting staff!
