Leann Emery is the founder of Cutting Edge Softball. She pitched for Division 1 San Jose State University, playing on the Spartan's top 20 NCAA team from 1987 to 1991.  (Kathy Strahan, Sac State, Rhonda Revelle, Univ of Nebraska).

Leann's expertise as a Pitching Instructor is legendary, and evidenced by the amazing success of her students. Many have been awarded Division I athletic scholarships to top universities, including Stanford, Michigan State, Texas A&M, Penn State, Brown, Univ of Santa Barbara, Hawaii Hilo and Ball State, Humbolt, Dominican and Santa Clara. Leann's students have also won 11 CCS Championships, and she has produced 2 Cal High Athlete Player of the Year Pitchers (Jerrica Castagano and Jackie Hill), and 3 All-State 1st Team pitchers.  (Tori Nyberg, Jerrica Castagano, and Alex Pingree (2-Time))

In addition to attaining success as a Pitching Instructor, Leann has coached softball at all levels: club travel teams, high school teams and community college teams. 

In 2011, one of Leann's former pitching students, (Stanford Grad /Former pitching coach for Northwestern Univ) Tori Nyberg was inducted into the San Mateo Hall Fame for her outstanding pitching career at Carlmont High school and Stanford University.

Leann is also the owner of Little Movers and Gymsters, teaching motor develop and Physical Ed to children in the Bay Area ages 2yrs-6th grade
